Toy Reviews

Filly Princess

MomApproved.ca was contacted by Irwin Toys to evaluate one of their newest toys for girls.  The Filly Princess.  Currently these toys are huge in Europe and highly collectible.   Having two girls it was easy enough to say yes to evaluate the Filly Princesses.  Please understand MomApproved.ca does not get paid to evaluate any products.

While waiting for the toys to arrive, we checked out their website www.fillyprincess.com. The website has the whole story of the Filly Princess and great games for the kids that are totally free and for those of you who use MomApproved.ca you know that “Free” is very important to us.  You can also take a look at the different Filly Princess Sets and you can see all the different Filly Princesses and check out the their names and colours.

What are Filly Princess Toys?

Filly Princesses are these new cute little ponies that come with stickers and are the hottest collectibles for girls.  There are  85 different Filly Princess’s so try and collect them all.  There are also Mother and Baby sets, Collector tins, Back Pack sets and lots more.

My daughters aged 7 and 9 just loved these Filly Princesses!  My 7 year old really enjoyed the sticker book and stickers.

They are really cute and  are great for collecting.  Another point is that they are a great price point.  Having 5 children I am always looking for inexpensive toys that they will enjoy and I have to say I really liked the Filly Princesses myself.

Additional Information

My Daughter is in hooked on these Filly Princesses. She wants to collect all of them but I told her that she needs to earn them by a point program. Everything is a point from doing her homework to cleaning her room. When she reaches 20 points she can get to choose one of the filly Princesses. We go to Chapters at Hwy 7 and weston road to buy the stickers for the book. The price is not as bad as I thought. It is very afordable for todays time. You have to see the smile on her face when she gets a new one. SHe has a total of 12 so far. Thanks Filly Fairies for keeping my daughter happy.

My daughter was happy to receive the pony but lost interest very quickly. I found the packaging very difficult to read. The print was fuzzy and the colours blended into one another. Neither one of us could match her pony to the legend in the book as none of the colours or designs on the ponies in the sticker book truly matched her pony. Also, the package said something like “find the crystal”. My daughter’s pony did not have any crystal on it. Is the point to buy as many as possible and search for the crystal that way? All in all I felt the pony idea was a copy of My Little Pony. The storyline was cute but perhaps unicorns might have been more original. I wasn’t really impressed with the product and wouldn’t buy it if I saw it in a store.

I like my toy.I like to pretend that I have fashion shows with it. I would like to buy more. I like my sticker book because I get 3 stickers every time. I think you should get more stickers in a pack. Thank you for letting me try this toy.
